HUIT’S ICONIC 2026: 40 Contestants Shine in Semifinal Round 2 – Talent
On November 1, 2026, at Hall C of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT), the Talent Round of the Semifinal 2 of HUIT’S ICONIC 2026, the competition to find HUIT’s Communications Ambassadors, took place in a vibrant atmosphere. The event brought together 40 contestants, who delivered diverse, creative and emotionally engaging performances. Each performance had its own distinctive character, showcasing the talents, personalities and confidence of HUIT students as they pursued the title of Communications Ambassador.

Following Semifinal Round 1 – Photoshoot, Semifinal Round 2 – Talent gave contestants the opportunity to step beyond the frame and showcase their abilities, creativity and stage presence in front of the judging panel and a large audience.
With 21 performances in the morning session and 19 in the afternoon, the HUIT’S ICONIC 2026 stage was energized by acts that reflected each contestant’s individuality. From lively, youthful moments to emotionally moving performances, each contestant sought to tell a personal story through their talent and performance style.

The round stood out for the diversity of the performances and the contestants’ serious preparation. More than an opportunity to showcase their talents, it also tested their confidence, stage presence, ability to respond to unexpected situations and capacity to connect with the audience. Applause and cheers from the crowd energized the contestants and kept the atmosphere lively throughout the program.

The judging panel for Semifinal Round 2 featured experienced professionals in the arts, communications and performance: choreographer Yu Trần; MC and editor Phan Trung Hậu; singer Lê Xuân Nghi; and actor and model Nguyễn Hoàng Sơn, a Top 5 finalist in Mister World Vietnam 2024 and Face of Vietnam 2025.
Drawing on their diverse professional perspectives, the judges assessed contestants’ talents, creativity, stage presence and ability to convey emotion to the audience. In addition to technical skills, confidence, individuality and potential for growth were also important evaluation criteria.
The judges’ feedback gave contestants an opportunity to recognize their strengths, refine their skills and gain experience as they worked toward becoming Communications Ambassadors.
Showcasing confidence on the RISE OF THE ICONIC journey
As Semifinal Round 2 – Talent came to a close, the 40 contestants had delivered impressive performances across a range of genres, showcasing creativity, confidence and stage presence. In particular, the judging panel selected the TOP 5 contestants with the strongest performances in the round, recognizing their outstanding talent, careful preparation, engaging performance styles and ability to make a distinctive impression. This recognition reflects the contestants’ efforts and gives them further motivation to build on their strengths as they pursue the title of HUIT Communications Ambassador.
In addition, the 32 outstanding contestants advancing to Semifinal Round 3 – Fashion Show have been officially selected. They will take on new challenges involving stage presence, modeling skills and the ability to command the stage.
With the theme “RISE OF THE ICONIC – Confidence creates an icon”, HUIT’S ICONIC 2026 continues to provide students with a platform to discover their potential, develop their talents and express their individuality. Each round is an opportunity for contestants to grow, showcase their confidence and help spread the image of HUIT’s dynamic and creative youth as they move closer to the title of Communications Ambassador of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade.
